We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 50 years of Forest of Dean Gymnastics Club and would love you to join us for our special anniversary Open Day.
Sunday 13 September 2026
11:00am to 2:00pm
Past and present gymnasts, families, staff, trustees and friends of the club are all warmly invited to come along and celebrate five decades of gymnastics in the Forest of Dean.
What’s happening:
• Watch our squad gymnasts training from the viewing gallery until approximately 1:00pm
• Parent and child Open Gym session
• Displays of photographs and memorabilia from throughout the club’s history
• Share your memories of the club
• Raffle, cake stall and sweet stall
• Free tea, coffee and squash
• A special 50th anniversary keepsake for everyone
Founded on 4 November 1976 by Lynn Hammersley M.B.E., the club has grown from sessions held in local school halls into the thriving community gymnastics centre we have today.
Come along, look around, reconnect with old friends and help us celebrate 50 years of Enjoyment and Excellence.
